| So what is up with me. ...
I got some sewing done for a lady. 2 Blouses and 2 vests. I have some more to do but there is less of a hurry.
Plan to go on a trip to Maryland and West Virginia for 10 days. in about a week. Jesse and I are the travelers.
My garden is growing. I have covered up most of the weeds with grass clippings hoping to kill some of the weeds.
I am not sure if maybe I just make it worse by "planting" more weed seeds.
The weather is getting hotter.

| Yesterday was hot but today is still cool. I prefer the cool but realize that we need the warmer weather too. I think all but one of my transplanted sweet potatoes are going to make it. I plan to plant a few more after the new ones I cut off the starter potato get roots.
I have several items to sew now for a customer. I hope I get them done in good time.

| We had our ladies sewing at church today as usual the first Tuesday of the month. We were missing a couple of our ladies but still got a lot done. Finished one quilt and got another in the frame. Two of the ladies worked on piecing tops.
Well, it looks like i will be sewing for the lady that called me at least. We will see where my business goes from there.
Hope to plant sweet potatoes tomorrow and I have two small curtains to make for our church bathrooms. I hope I get both of these things done along with the usual cooking and dishes and stuff.

| I got a call the other day from someone who was given my name, number and occupation off a business card. That is very interesting since I don't have a business card. I have been toying with the idea of starting a sewing business though. And I did mention it to a couple of people during the city wide garage sales a few weeks ago. I figure one of them gave my info and to give me some credibility said she got it off my business card. Well, that made a short story long. This person wants me to sew several blouses, a vest (these she has the pattern and fabric for) and alter a pair of jogging pants. She also has a quilt she would be interested in having me mark and quilt. She will call me Monday and we can discuss if I want to do it and how much I would charge. So, I need to make up my mind. come up with an official business name and probably take care of a few more legalities. fun.
My garden is doing pretty well for the little I have in it. I planted: 4 tomatoes, One grape tomatoe, 4 habanero peppers, One bell pepper, a lot of onions,8 cabbages, spinach,radishes,and a few marigolds. The last are in an attempt to disguise the delicious smell of cabbages so the cabbage butterfly will not lay her eggs there and so cause the destruction off the cabbages. Sometime soon I plan to plant sweet potatoes.
My herb garden is composed of parsley, cilantro, oregano, basil, and a chocolate mint which does not seen to be too healthy. I hope it makes it.
I get to "babysit" for a homeschool family the next 3 days so the parents can travel to the home school convention. That will be fun.
